Here is a question from my PM:
"Out of curiousity, when a resource is removed from a task that they
not have completed any of the work on, when they receive the "remove
from task" notification, all they knew was that they had a certain
number hours for a task and now are no longer assigned. When the
resource is removed, does the system automatically change their
remaining hours to "0" at the same time they receive the "X"
symbolizing that they are no longer assigned to the task? If not,
then either we need to process resource removals differently OR there
is an issue with the report logic."
What we're trying to get to is:
The PM's are cancelling tasks, and the resources continue to receive
overdue emails even though their PWA tasks indicated they are no
longer assigned (X). We need help to determine why this is happening.
I think what they want to know are the procedures for:
Removing a resource from a task when no work has been completed.
Removing a resource from a task that has been partially completed.
I've tried to explain the correct procedure to them, but they doubt my
advice and say it's too much work...can you help?
