unavailable fonts

It appears that at least one of my fonts that is available in Word is
unavailable in Powerpoint. Cooperhilite is the font in question. It seems
available for Text edit as well, but not ppt. Help!

This is a bug and there's been some other posts on the subject ie
fonts working in Word and Excel but not in PowerPoint. My workaround
is to go back to PowerPoint in Office X.

Hi Jessola,

What type of font is Cooperhilite and what directory did you put it into on
your computer?

The fonts that I can't use are Adobe's Frutiger family - an Open Type
font. Like other postings, they work fine in Excel and Word.

As to where I placed the fonts- they're in the library/fonts folder
but have experimented (with restart) in the user/library/fonts. It
makes no difference.

We have similar problem with Adobe OpenType versions of EuroStile,
Helvetica Neue, and Minion.

There seems to be a specific problem with PowerPoint, but we also see
the same font problems in Word.
