Unavoidable cross-post

This problem involves Word, Entourage, and HTML.

It¹s the first time I¹ve had any issue with html in Entourage, and it¹s not
the kind I¹ve been reading about.

Posted this on the word group, but I think it may have more to do with
Entourage.

Followeth the text:

A guy I¹m working with found that HTML is the only cross-platform format he
could use to generate tabs with his antiquated version of SPSS.

So he sent me a very large (400K) html document filled with tables separated
from one another by blank space, headings, or body text.

Entourage displays it and takes a very long time to go from color spin ball
to cursor.

Then I don¹t know what to do with it.

I copied and pasted it into Word, but got a separate paragraph for each
cell.

Since Entourage displays it instead of offering it as an attachment, I can¹t
save it to the drive and open it in Word.

After all the discussions about viewing and not viewing complex HTML in
Entourage I found I could not find a preference setting that would turn it
off.

Going back to my old trusted Eudora, I remembered why I stopped using it. It
decided it should turn the single message into 22 separate messages. That
was a fun moment.

Any ideas?

I¹ve told the guy he has to buy a new version of SPSS, but in the meantime?
.....

Thanks!

Best,

- Bill

Thanks very much. I did solve it by having Yahoo mail download it as a file.
Turned out to be so not worth the trouble :)

Try using View->Source on the message. Copy the HTML, and paste it into
a text editor like TextEdit or BBEdit or Tex-Edit Plus. Save it as an
HTML file.

Now, you can open it in a browser, or with Word if you wish.
