Sorry, but I had to start this new topic ONLY BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE
WHERE I COULD REPLY TO A TOPIC I READ ABOUT!!! THERE WAS NO "REPLY"
LINK!!!

As to my main problem, I just added the "Tools Calculate" feature to my
Tools menubar. I actually did it twice, and now my entire Tools Menu is
GONE!!!! CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO GET IT BACK?

THANKS.

Hi Edwin:

It's not easy reading the screen, is it...

If you look in the Word Help, you will find the following topic: "Reset
original settings for buttons, menus, commands, and toolbars"

Let me know if you need that explained to you.

Cheers

Hi Edwin,

I too couldn't find a Reply button on the Google newsgroup interface when I
looked for one recently. Either I'm going blind or something was hinky that
day.

Anyway, there is a better way to access these newsgroups than via Google.
Read this article to find out more:
<http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/AccessNewsgroups.htm>
(If using Safari, hit Refresh once or twice; better yet, use another
browser.)

I was under the impression that you had to 'Sign In' to be able to post or
reply. Otherwise those options weren't available.

I thought of that too, so I signed in (which I hadn't originally) and still
couldn't find a Reply button. I think I'll try it again now ...

Hmmm. I was still signed in from that last time (or else it signed me in
automatically I would have checked that option if it were offered).
Anyway, I had no trouble finding the Reply buttons this time.

Oh well.

Just out of curiosity I went to Mactopia>Community>Newsgroups & selected
Browser 'cause I couldn't remember for sure myself (I normally use Entourage
as a newsreader at home).

It appears that regardless of whether you select View Titles Only or View
Message Text, you must first click the message link or, in the second case,
click either the More link or the Replies link. Then the Reply link is at
the bottom of each message/reply... Not really any buttons involved.

They are available either way without signing in, but if you aren't signed
in the Sign In screen comes up when you click the Reply link.

A better way to reply is to select "show options", then "reply" from
there. This adds quoted text, whereas the "reply" at the bottom of the
article gives you a blank message.
