Re Outlook Express: I blocked 2 email senders. Now I have to unblock them. I
tried retyping them into my address box, yet new email from them keeps going
direct into my Deleted folder. What to do?

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002 & 2003 from the
Office family for Intel PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting in
one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...express&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...express&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...express&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...ess.mac&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:

mrs jazz.cl,
1. In Outlook Express> TOOLS> Message Rules> Block Senders> Select the name
that you do not want to have messages deleted> Select Remove button> Ok. Do
the same for the second email address if its there.
2. In Outlook Express> TOOLS> Message Rules> Mail Rules> Make sure that you
have added the "Stop Processing More Rules" action to each of your rules
that the messages get deleted. You may need to shuffle the order of the
rules, to make sure that the appropriate rule is affecting the right message
first.

Find and remove a Blocked Sender address:

OE | Tools | Message Rules | Blocked Senders List | Highlight the first
address on the list | Click: Modify | Type in address you want to remove.
Prompt: "This address already exists, are you sure you want to replace it?"
Click Yes. The address will now be at the top of the list. Remove it.

Note that the address that was at the top of the Blocked Senders list may
also be removed. You might want to copy it down in case you need to re-enter
it.

*******
To find an address in a message rule, click on Contains in the bottom box to
open the Select People box and click on the first address. Tap the key for
the first letter in the address and one-by-one each address beginning with
that letter will be revealed until you find the one you are looking for.

*******
Setting up Rules.

In general:

Have all rules that divert mail to folders first.

Delete it from server next.

All others last.

Make sure that every rule also has Stop processing more rules checked,
unless that option is grayed out.
