unbound check box in a datasheet

Hi,

I have a subreport datasheet on a main form.

I want to put a checkbox next to each record.

I am using Albert Kallal's multiple select example as a framework.

However he is using a continous form version. and I want to use
the datasheet version. I can't get his stuff to work.
The idea is to put a transparent command button over the checkbox and
go from there. I can't get the command button click event to fire when in
datasheet version and it seems to have disappeared completely. the checkbox
exists for
each record but is cannot be checked or unchecked.

does anyone have any ideas?
