uncertified MS Software

Hi

I have a Toshiba M400 win XP tablet - It had a HDD issue so I went to an
external Laptop shop to "clean it up" - they loaded windows and Office 2003
back on my machine. when I tried to solve an issue with outlook - I went to
the MS site and it came back telling me my office application didn't pass
validation. I don't have the office disks any more and can't find the serial
number. The Laptop reseller is saying they can't help me and it looks like I
might need to buy another suite of software - unless anyone can help me solve
my problem?

Thanks - |Nick

Go back to the external laptop shop and have them fix it. They apparently
put an improper version of Office on your computer.

Please follow this troubleshooting procedure:

1. Download and run the MGA Diagnostic Tool: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy".

3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the "WGA Validation Problems" forum
and paste the results of the WGA Diagnostic Data in a detailed post.

Thanks for getting back Tom - the laptop shop who cleaned my HDD are telling
me that they loaded their own version of office on my laptop to get me going
and i need to go back to the reseller I got it from as I don't have the disks
or the serial key - as it happens I don't recall having any disks as it came
pre-loaded. does the recovery disk solve my problems ? I have that. seems
both the reseller who I bought the laptop from the the shop that cleaned it
are not being too helpfully. I'm reluctant to pay the £46 for MS support and
even more reluctant to e at £300 - may as well get a new laptop!

any further ideas would be appreciated
