Uncontrollable scrolling in Task List column

When scrolling (up or down) in the Task List, once you exceed the visible
fields in the immediate window, the scroll becomes unmanageable, too fast,
and uncontrollable.

This issue existed in Project 2000 and I certainly hoped it would have been
fixed in Project 2003. I use a Logitech trackball, but this condition exists
with a standard mouse as well.

Is there a fix for this??

Suggest don't use the mouse.
Reason 1: it doesn't work, as you say.
Reason 2: it is inferior to keyboard for navigating and selecting, anyway.
Keyboard is much faster, much more surgical, more professional.
Arrows, Page Up, Page Down, CTRL-End, CTRL-Home, Shift-CTRL-Arrow,
Shift-CTRL-Page Up, Shift-CTRL-Page Down, etc.

And if you must use a mouse, get a new one. Those with the roller
wheels which control scrolling might suite your expectations.
