I have recetly cleaned up Timeshest, Tasks and projects via Delete enterprise
objects" .

Now I am having issue with adding Tasks under Proposals and Activities.
When I hit "Save" button, it throws an error below;

"Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating
non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints.
Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services. "

Can someone help me please.

Check to make sure that you are not entering invalid data in the project
level custom fields under the Summary View. I have seen this error for
example when attempting to enter text into a Proposal's custom field that is
expecting Cost, Number or Dates.

This is a known bug in Proposals.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I have the same error. I go to proposal, select create a new proposal,
enter name, description, start date is autopopulated with today's date, owner
is autopopulated with my name, and state is set to Proposed (this is from a
custom list I created). I hit save and it takes me to the page where tasks
are entered. I enter one task, start date, duration and percent complete and
when I try to enter a resource I does not show any names on the drop down
list. I hit save and it gives me the error.

Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating
non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints.

Please help. I have wss 3.0 (the free version that comes with, sql2005 and
ps2007, as a single server farm, sp1 applied).

Thanks!!!

Please list every field, custom and standard that you have in the Summary
Information screen of the proposal. Also list the values you are setting.
Are there any fields which you have stipulated as being mandatory, but have
not filled in? Are possibly filling in a field with invalid data, i.e. a
number into a date field or text into a cost or date field?

Also, the reason you are not seeing any users in the dropdown list for the
tasks you are entering is because you must first build your team by clicking
on Build Team button and adding enterprise resources to the proposal project
team. Then you will see those resources in the dropdown for the task but be
aware that the limitation on this light weight project plan is that you can
only assign one resource per task.

Jonathan:

In the Summary Information page:

Select New
Name=Test1
Description=Test1
Start Date=2/15/08 (from calendar pop up)
Plan Owner= default (My username)
State=Proposed (default, greyed out, from state dropdown look up table that
has not been modified)
Release Y/N=No (enterprise custom field, the value No is the default from
the dropdownlist.

I save and it takes me to the work details page. There:

Task Name=Task1
Duration=4
Start Date=2/15/2008 (from dropdown look up table)
% Work Complete=50
Resource Name= my username (from dropdown list)

I hit save and it gives me the error:Failed to enable constraints. One or
more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key
constraints.

Please help.

Thanks

Also, we don't have the MOSS, we only have the wss 3.0 that comes with
project server... maybe this info helps.

Thanks.

Couple of things:

1) Are you creating a new proposal or activity?
2) Out-of-the-box State does not have a default value of Proposed, it has no
default value which means you must have changed the State field definition
to use Proposed as the default value. And I am not sure what you mean by it
being grayed out, I see it as editable in my environments.
3) Is "Release Y/N" a text field or Boolean? Are there any other fields you
did not mention?
4) Duration of 4, what does that mean? Days, Weeks, Months? Try being more
specific when you enter it by putting in 4 Days as an example
5) How is your name showing up in the dropdown list if you haven't built the
project team yet? In my environment, this field is blank until I add myself
and others via the Build Team function.
6) What happens if you do not attempt to add detailed in formation but
instead, close out of the proposal, go back in and save the summary
information again, do you receive the error?
