Undefined Function?

Has anybody seen this error:

Undefined Function [Right$] in statement.

I have a W2k machine installing O2k Pro. This has not happened before to me
on any type of machine so I am at a loss. I have uninstalled, reinstalled,
Repaired and even deleted all registry entries of MS Office.

Thank you

Your References collection is probably messed up.

References problems can be caused by differences in either the location or
file version of certain files between the machine where the application was
developed, and where it's being run (or the file missing completely from the
target machine). Such differences are common when new software is installed.

On the machine(s) where it's not working, open any code module and select
Tools | References from the menu bar. Examine all of the selected
references.

If any of the selected references have "MISSING:" in front of them, unselect
them, and back out of the dialog. If you really need the reference(s) you
just unselected (you can tell by doing a Compile All Modules), go back in
and reselect them.

If none have "MISSING:", select an additional reference at random, back out
of the dialog, then go back in and unselect the reference you just added. If
that doesn't solve the problem, try to unselect as many of the selected
references as you can (Access may not let you unselect them all), back out
of the dialog, then go back in and reselect the references you just
unselected. (NOTE: write down what the references are before you delete
them, because they'll be in a different order when you go back in)

What would cause this error? Like I said have not ever seen this error, and
being a NetAdmin, I have installed Office alot. You say from location to
location, but I copy the disk to the hard drive and run it from there. Also
I have three different cd's of Office and installing each of them I still get
the same error.

Access is very sensitive to version differences of referenced libraries. If
the machine on which the database was developed has a different version of a
referenced library than the client machine, you can run into this problem.
Even if you're using the database on the same machine on which it was
developed, installing new software can changed the version of referenced
libraries.

For far more than you could ever want to know about this problem, check out

December, 2003 "Access Answers" column in Pinnacle Publication's "Smart
Access" (you can download the column, and sample database, for free at
