undeliverable e-mail

I have a clent that when sending out a distribution list e-
mail In Outlook 2000, using the Windows 98 platform, gets
an error that states "No Transport Provider Available"
I have gone through the distribution list to make sure
that all his e-mail addresses are valid and spelled
correctly, i have tried deleting both his ditribution
lists and even his old personal folder file and
rebuilding it, i have also tried installing the latest
office update, to no avail. If anyone can help me or make
any suggestions on how to solve this or why this is only
occuring with ditribution lists i would greatly appreciate
it.
