Undeliverable message received when repying to or forwarding an e-

I can send and receive new e-mail messages. When I attempt to reply to or
forward a message , I receive a notice that the message was undeliverable and
the following message in the body of the error message-
"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: RE: Email Issues: Other (KMM97121063V64453L0KM)
Sent: 4/2/2005 7:11 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'(e-mail address removed)' on 4/2/2005 7:11 PM
503 Valid RCPT TO <recipient> must precede DATA"

What causes this issue?
