Can anyone please tell me how to stop outlook from tring to send emails thro
Exchange, I have disabled it in outlook :tools,options,mail setup,send &
receive. Buit it still defaults to exchange & tries to send them.this is on 5
laptops which collect their emails thro pop3 as they are out of the office
most of the time

any Ideas

Are these emails being sent replies? If yes, Outlook will always use the
sending account for replies.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Paul asked:

Is Exchange the default mail account? If so, make the POP3 account the
default

The emails are not replies but new ones
Exchange over rules what you set as default
eg set pop3 as default send 2 emails the first one goes the second gets
bounced back by exchange even thro it is disabled?????
