Outlook refuses to send to one specific address, only. The messages
goes
through to anyone I cc or bc. Just this one recipient is
undeliverable. The
problem is within Outlook, not with my server or the receiving
server. I'm
working from home on a personal laptop. Messages to this person
used to go
out without incident. I'm getting an immediate Undeliverable Report
that
says the following:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: Original Test Email
Sent: 1/16/2008 3:25 PM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'Roger Arana (
[email protected])' on 1/16/2008 3:25
PM
None of your e-mail accounts could send to this
recipient.
One possibility is that the e-mail address no longer exists at that
domain. If the headers (which you did not show) indicate that this
NDR (non-delivery report) e-mail originated from your own mail host
(and NOT from the target mail host) then your mail host successfully
connected to the MX host at hpfoundation.org but that mail host said
there was no such account defined with that username, the target mail
host rejected the mail session (because the message could not be
delivered as addressed), and your sending mail host put a new e-mail
in your account to notify you of the rejection. The domain exists but
not that username. You'll have to find out what is the user's current
e-mail address at that domain, if they are still there and still have
an e-mail account there.
Did you perchance have an e-mail account defined under which you
composed this e-mail message but you deleted that account before you
sent that e-mail? The account you specified when composing the e-mail
message, even the default one, will be used when you get around to
sending the message. If you delete the account then it no longer
exists through which to send that old e-mail. You will have to
compose a new e-mail using an existing e-mail account defined in
Outlook and copy/paste your old message into the new e-mail, then
delete the old e-mail that cannot be sent through an account no longer
defined in Outlook.
I also found

mentions the error that you mention. Have you updated to the latest
service pack? The article mentions Office service pack 1 for Office
2003. You didn't bother to mention WHICH version of Office or Outlook
that you use. They are now up to service pack 3 for Office 2002 and
2003. Although Microsoft claims that the Office updates should be
available throught their Windows Update site, it doesn't always work.
I had to go through officeupdate.microsoft.com a couple times to get
updates that were not available through the Windows Update site.
