undelivered mail notification

Have a new computer Dell Inspiron 6400 with XP, Office. Outlook loaded.

For whatever reason, I have a new problem: I am not receiving any
notications of undelivered mail. I have tested it, and I can see is no rhyme
or reason to who receives my mail and who does not, other than the mail I
send to myself and my wife (same server) is consistently not delivered and no
ntification of non-delivery is provided.

Any ideas?
