underlines

when typing a line of text, I can't get the underline to go past the text. I want it to have __typed underline text_
then unerline a little past the last letters but it cuts off, I end up drawing it with a pen, Please help

Are you trying to create a 'fill in the blanks" type of form? As you
found, using the Underline format won't do it - not an easy task at
least.

If this doesn't work then go to Tools/Options/Compatibility and make
sure "Draw underline on trailing spaces" is turned on.
