Undo does not work in most cases!

Also, where undo is available (e.g. deleting an appointment), the action
history is only 1 action deep.

This is shockingly bad.

I had valuable information saved in a recurring appointment that I had to
change the date for. When I changed the date it deleted all the information
in the note leaving me speechless!

No I hadn't. I can ask someone to make alterations that will prevent a major
fiasco, but is there no way to retreive the note information?

If you can't undelete it deleted items, it is likely gone forever.

This is a different problem - exceptions to recurrences can result in data loss and can't be undone. It's better not to use recurrences if you need to make notes in each item. You can easily create the series in Excel and import (or create it in Outlook then export to excel to break the recurrences and then import.) Or export to excel as a backup method - this breaks them into single items.

if you need to restore more than one appointment (or any other outlook item), move them from the deleted items folder. Sort by date and the most recently deleted should be on top. Non-mail items don't always sort by deleted date, so sort by icon field to easily find them.
