undo update

I am travelling and do not have my original disk with me, yet the update
continues to try and update .... I have since not been able to open up my
excel spreadsheet which I need to ... help!

I ended up doing a system restore and went back to before the update and have
since turned off my automatic updates .... so far so good I can get at my
excel spreadsheets. Needless to say I will pick my updates or not do any
until I get back home.

Your suggestion would have worked had there been anyone at the house to get
my disc.
