I can't understand the detail of your question without any context to it.
But "Undo" on the Mac, in all applications, is Command-z.

Hi Clive -
Thought I'd take a guess too - but in a different direction
I believe the OP may be referring to being able to hide the non-printing
characters so I'll suggest that he/she look for the ¶ character on the
Standard toolbar...
One of us may get it right - Any other takers?
