Undoing Outdenting

[Project Achtung]

Is there a way in Project 2003 to undo an outdent? It seems that once its
done, the subtasks are locked under a summary task and there is no way to
undo it, even control z doesn't always work. In previous versions of Project
you used to be able to indent and outdent all the time until you were
satisfied with how the outline looked.
Any help appreciated...

Hi,

You mlust be riunning Project 2003 Standard with no SP installed.
Downloas and Install SP1 or SP2 the trouble (a known bug) will be gone

Jan, thank you for your help. Can you clarify where I find the SP1 or
SP2....is it known as the service pack for Office XP or is there one specific
to Project? Also, does it need to be updated through Microsoft as stated in
your subsequent posts...I'm not sure my new company may have done that...how
is that done??

Hi,

It is specific to Project. A search on the MSsite wll show you (I don't know
the URL by heart); look under downloads.
The problem may be that your IT division coulmd not allow you to install any
program; in that case they have to install it for you.
