unemployment

I am rewriting for my unemployment because I was told i had been denied
because of
dissatisfaction with my employment, and that i left without good cause. well
dissatisfaction with
employment is part of the reason but, working in unsafe and sanitary
conditions that would
endanger Residents and be working against State mandatory regulations. If
state was
to walk in i would have been fired and it would of been not my fault. The
facility shut the water off
on purpose.

Separation occurred on March 14,2010. After working a full shift I chose
to leave this employment due to working conditions
that impaired my ability to perform the duties i was responsible for.

I had communicated to co-workers as well as the kitchen supervisor on
numorous occassions over a period of 4 months that
certain duties within the kitchen were not being accomplished according to
state spercifications, which could result in dertermnetal
infractions for the kitchen upon the unpending state inspections.
Approximatlly 7 days before the day of separation i indicated to the
supervisor that the working conditions issues i had previousely decussed
numerious times would would need to be addressed in order
for my employment to continue.

On the day of separation, I arrived at work on time, the ovens had
been left on from the morning shift, so i shut them off. I
then cleaned the eating tables, I returned to my work areas which had been
left with spoiled milk, encrusted thickener, dirty toaster
and a dirty microwaves. I cleaned all such areas which were repuired to be
cleaned upon the state of my shift. only after cleaning could
I start my duties as dietary cook. In addition, I had to clean pots and pans
required in use in my food preparation. After that point i
was informed by the kitchen aid that the water had been shut off. I
contacted the head nurse to find out what the problem was. I then
contacted the kitchen supervisor and informed her of the situation. I told
her that due to the current water problem , I would be there
past the time for my shift to end in order to accomplish all required
duties, her sarcastic response was ( Do what you got to do.) After
4 months of such working condition problems, in which no efforts by the
supervisory staff had been made to even try to correct, I told
the supervisor i was ending my employment. At that point the maintenance
staff person on duty was summoned. after waiting 25 minutes
the water was turned back on. I completed my duties, but had incurred
overtime, which was prohibited.

The day of separation was cummulation of simular events that occured
over the past numerous months day in and out. Unfortunately,
the communication of such issues during this period, as well as suggestions
from various members of the kitchen staff that might help
correct the problems were completely ignored..

Sincerlly , Donna True
