uneven line spacing from superscript

How do I overcome the uneven line spacing caused by the superscript
footnotes making the line above it a little higher than those lines
which have no footnotes?

I'm no expert but I figured I'd have to create a new cell for each line
of text... which gave me a really ugly page. I gave up and abandoned
super/subscripts.

I'm still learning too but it sounds like either an CSS issue or at least
something to be addressed in the style portion of the menus after you select
that paragraph.
