I get this error when I try to sync bcm with my pda.
My configuration:
I got a sbs 2003 server running my exchange, it also shares the bcm
database to the network on sql 2005 express.
My computer has Vista Enterprise (upgraded from a clean xp sp2 install) with
Office 2007 Pro with office sp1.
My PDA is a Sprint Mogul with mobile 6.
What happens:
bcmv3 installs just fine. Even downloads the cab to my pda, which installs
bcm without errors. The first time I try to sync, i get "unexpected error
opening the business contact manager store", then a c++ runtime error saying
something about "wmdhost.exe" has to shutdown. (something like that, i didnt
get a chance to copy the second error down error) .
When I try to resync, wmdc throws a unhandled exception:
Retrieving the COM calss factory for component with CLSID
{89108EE5-18DA-11DB-9617-00E08161165F} failed due to the following error:
80040154
It seems to happen right after the outlook profile opens. Doesnt seem to
matter if I have Outlook open or not. I've recently made an offline copy of
my bcm database and that doesnt stop the error either.
What I have tried:
I think everything except turning off UAC mode , installing the bcm database
locally (Which is not a long term option for me), and installing vista sp1.
Doesnt seem to be much on google about this, so I wonder what is different
about my computer.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I might be overlooking a hotfix or patch.
