"Unexpected Error" when clicking hyperlinks in Excel 2003

I have just installed SP3 and now none of the hyperlinks in Excel work any
more. All I get is a unexpected error message. You can't uninstall SP3
after installing it, and re-installing Office 2003 is not an option at the
moment. Is there a solution?
