Unexpected server response

You need to add your windows user account to project
server BEFORE attempting to access through collaboration
in Pro.

We just set up a Project 2002 server on our win2K server at ip address
192.168.1.51. Everything works fine when we surf via a web browser to PWA
(http://192.168.1.51/ProjectServer/), we can log in without any problems.
However if I attempt to do the same using Project Pro's colaberation feature
we recieve the following error message:

"Unexpected server response. Microsoft project server has returned an
unexpected response.
Click the "view" button to view the server resonce as an error page in your
