Unfiled Notes

I'm new to OneNote and am unsure if the installation/configuration of the
app is correct.

When I click on the OneNote icon on my task bar I get a pop-up that says
'OneNote cannot find the Unfiled Notes section in which to open your new
Slide Note.'

If I look in tools\options\save is see within the "Paths:' secion an entry
for 'Unfiled Notes Section' and a corresponding path that I did not create.
Thinking the path is the problem I tried modifying it but it won't let
select a new path going to just a folder, it wants an actual file within a
folder selected before allowing me to save the modified changes.

Any thoughts?

If you want to change the path, you'll first need to create a new
unfiled notes section. Go into any notebook, create a new section, and
call it Unfiled Notes. Now go to File->SaveAs and save it to where you
want the unfiled notes to be. You can then change the path in
tools/options to point to the new location.
