Ungroup in 2007

I have the group icon, which is dimmed no matter what image extension I bring
into Word. The ungroup icon is nowhere to be found.

Hi Mary,

You can only group/ungroup objects that are not 'in line with text', but even then, images apparently can't be grouped. As far as I
can tell, the 'Group' icon, though displayed (greyed out), isn't accessible from the 'Picture' Format ribbon - only from the
'Drawing Tools' Format ribbon.
