Unicode and *.xls Files

Hello,
I highly appreciate your help in clarifying my doubts
for the following questions (we are using Excel 2000)

1. would like to know what is the Unicode Format(UTF8/
UTF16) in which the *.Xls file is saved when we save the
File in Unicode Format.

2. What will the Delimiter when we save *.xls to Unicode
File. (It looks like Tab delimited file).

3. Again when converting the *.xls to Unicode *.txt File,
Can we make the File Data to be Enclosed in Quotes when a
single cell has more than one word (By Default Cell Values
which has a Comma gets Enclosed with Quotes).
