Hi there,
I have been doing some searching on the internet to find a simple way
we can script an uninstall of specifically Excel 2003. To give you
the background we have Office 2003 installed on all users and have
also installed Excel 2007 (needed for a new appllication). We are
using both versions of Excel at present but now want to remove the
2003 version. I have looked at customising the 2007 MSP file to remove
previous version but this does not seem to work. I have looked at
msiexec options but the GUID in the registry refers to the whole 2003
office installation and I do not want to uninstall that, only Excel. I
have checked out 2003 ORK Removal Wizard but this will only check for
previous to 2003.
I've got a few questions I would love some help with:-
Q1) Is there a removal wizard for Office 2007 as this would work?
Q2) How can I find out the GUID of just Excel to use msiexec?
Q3) Is there a setup parameter I can run on Office 2003 to remove just
Excel?
Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help.
Thanks
JT
