Uninstall just Outlook 2003

I have Office Pro 2003 installed. I need to uninstall Outlook (due to an
incompatibility with my companies e-mail servers) and go back to Outlook
2002. Do I need to fully uninstall Office, Install Outlook 2002 and then
reinstall the rest of Office 2003, or is there an easier way?

Shoudn't need to do all that. Assuming Microsoft installations behave the way they are supposed to. Just start add remove for Microsoft Office 2003 like you were going to remove it. You will be given the option to Add\Remove components of Office. Choose that. Then Next you will see a Windows that has all the applications you have installed from Office 2003. Uncheck Outlook 2003 and click Next to the end. This will remove Outlook 2003. You will know this because the desktop and Quick Access tray icons will be gone. Then install JUST Outlook 2002 from your Microsoft Office 2002 CD-ROM.

Now note that Outlook 2002 will not be able to display messages using Word as your editor IF Word 2002 is not installed. It would have taken a Microsoft Genius to contemplate that someone may want to do what you are doing and use Word 2003 as your editor in Outlook 2002. But Brian I would not count on it. Remember the Rasion d'etre of Microsoft is to get the World to keep upgrading their software and never look back.

Thanks George. I just received a message from the company IS folks, that
they're upgrading the servers between now and Monday to be able to
handle Outlook 2003. (Fingers crossed) I'll wait until then before
doing anything drastic.
