Uninstall of MS Office 2007 does not work.

Hi All...

I am trying to uninstall a MS Office 2007 Home and Student trial
edition and am not able to.
I first try to do it from the Control Panel's "Uninstall a program"
and it does not see MS Office Home and Student edition.
I then surfed around and found Microsofts webpage that gives you step
by step on how to manually remove it and I followed all steps and
rebooted.
Now many aspects of Office are gone but not entirely because my Word/
Excel documents on my desktop still show the icon of the respective
program (word/excel), which to me means that some where on my computer
office 2007 is still there and being recognized and hasn't been
completely uninstalled.
Also when I try to launch an Excel document I get an error from an
installer pop up box...."The feature that you are trying to use is an
a network resource that is unavailable".

Some where else on the web I read about people using MS office CD's to
uninstall/remove office.
I just recently bought a full version of Office 2007 Home and Student
edition...but I don't want to open the package and try to install it
when I'm still having issues uninstalling the trial version.

Any thoughts anyone ?

Ray
