uninstall office 2000

I would like to purchase & install office 2003,and have
office 2000 which was on the computer when I got it.I
don,t have the info or disk to upgrade 2000,What will I
lose if I uninstall 2000,to install 2003 ?

If you dont have the qualifying product, INCLUDING, disks you cannot use the
upgrade version of Office2003, but require a full version.
You could leave Office2k on, then use the upgrade version, but you are
likely to be in breech of licence and if you ever have to reinstall
Office2003 you wont be able to.

If you're worried about losing data, you should be OK, since uninstalling
Office doesn't typically delete any data files. However, check
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm and back up any important files,
just in case.
