I know some people have used the Eraser utility without being able to do the
uninstall from their CD. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to get
replacement Office 2000 CDs any longer. However, I don't see that it is
recommended for Windows XP, so you probably shouldn't try it.
So, if you look under the "More Information" section of that article, it
tells you what files can be deleted. You can then run the Windows Installer
Cleanup Utility to remove registry references to Office being installed, so
you should be about as clean as you can be, without doing a reconfiguration
of your system. What this will do is remove references so that future
installations of Office won't think that Office 2000 is still there and
needs to be considered.
All that said, why are you uninstalling CD2? If you don't need to, I guess
I'd leave it alone.
