uninstall office 2004 update

I have the office 2004 update on my computer and am trying to install
the full version 2004 office (teacher-student) edition. When I
complete installation on the 2004, I am prompted by the update to
select the folder to update. The problem is, there is no earlier
version to update. I am just trying to run the new 2004 program on my
computer. Any advice on how to avoid this?? And to just run the full
2004 program without interference from the update?

Sounds like you should run the Remove Office application (on the install
disk), to remove all copies of Office, then reinstall the T/S edition.
