Uninstall Office 2007 beta

J

jbpete

I have all the Office 2007 beta apps installed from a download.
I now have a corrupted file in Word 2007 beta and it says to reinstall.
Since the original installation, I received my Office 2007 kit and would
like to use that to reinstall.
However, there is nothing in Add/Remove for Office 2007 and no Uninstaller
on the Start programs menu.
Read other posts on a big complicated uninstall which I'll do if I have to
but it would seem that there should be an Uninstaller somewhere.

I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, but did you look under Ms for "Microsoft
Office" in Add/Remove Programs? Microsoft Office 2007 shows in Add/Remove
here.

You're not a "SA". I would have asked the same question.
I have "Microsoft Office XP Professional" of which I'm only using the Front
Page.
And a couple of others, Media Content, Windows Vista Upgrade, .NET, etc.
It even took me a while to locate the folder.
Finally found it in the "Microsoft Office/Office12"
Found out that "Microsoft Office/Office10" os my XP version.
Should I go through the "Install Cleanup" and Delete route.
I see no other way.

Hi J.B.,

If you run Setup from the Office 2007 CD, does it 'see' the installed copy? If so, then one of the options should be to uninstall
from that Setup run.

It should show up in Add/Remove. I've no idea why it's not, but thanks for
checking those Ms, anyway!

If it's not, then I would re-run the installer -- you should get a "remove"
or "uninstall" option.

Oh, duh -- I see Bob's responded. I'd follow his instructions!

Thanks, Bob.
Used the beta kit CD for Office Professional 2007 and found everything.
Able to use "Repair" function.

Also, thanks for another post on fixing my MS Works 7 error by uninstalling
Works, deleting the Programs folder and reinstalling.
You're earning your money ;>)
