Uninstall Office 2007 in favor of Office 2003 on a VISTA OS

I have MS Office 2007 loaded on a new PC at home. Having used MS Office
suites at home and work for more than 15 years, I'm accustomed to learning
new releases and applying their changes to my needs.

However, my opinion after 7 months of trying to effectively use 2007 is that
it is as crappy as VISTA is.

Does anyone know if Office 2003 can be run on a VISTA OS?

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes, but since you already have Office 2007, wouldn't it be more cost
effective to try to correct the issues you have with 2007?

Yes, Office 2003 does run on Vista. I used the trial version for almost two
months (I'm a heavy Excel user). I found Excel 2007 crashed randomly, without
provocation. The more I used the Ribbon, the more I disliked it. I found it
to be illogical, confusing and a productivity killer. Since there wasn't much
sense in shelling out more $$$ to buy a product that was unstable and was
counterproductive, I removed Office 2007 and went back to Office 2003. No
more crashes and no more Ribbon headaches.

Check if you're eligible for a refund:

I sincerely hope you own a copy of Office 2003. Otherwise, you may be
shelling out more $$$s.

You may want to review OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org) and/or Zoho
(www.zoho.com) before you send more $$$s to Redmond.

HTH!
