First, there is no "activation" for MacOffice. While you're prevented at
run-time from using an application with the same Product ID on a local
network, you don't need to activate the product as you do with Windows
Office.

If you're not going to use Office on the macbook again, just delete the
Office folder, and install Office on the iMac normally. If you want to
remove all the preference files, you can run the Remove Office
application, but it's not strictly necessary.

You didn't *really* expect something called Office 2008 would ship in
2007 did you?
Besides, if you squint a bit, it is only a couple of weeks late if it
turns up at MacWorld SF.

sort of December 45th 2007..

Nope. In fact, all registration does is put you on their mailing list.

They're a pretty bright group, based on the few score I've met.

MacBU: where all the women are strong, the men change their hair color,
and all the 'children' are above average (they *are* awfully young...)
- (mumbled apologies to Garrison Keillor)
now if they could only ship on time...

Never known them to miss an actual ship date yet. 'Course, their
"expected" ship dates can be rather slippery...

Do you want it on time or stable?

Have never seen the latter, in *any* release. How about the usual -
relatively on-time, and relatively stable...
