Uninstall Office X

I have both Office X and Office 2004 installed on my Mac. I would like to
uninstall Office X but will have to do this manually as I have mislaid the
original disc with the uninstall feature on it.

I am rather woried about moving to trash some files as indicated in the
instructions in case they are shared by both versions. Can someone please
give me any advice here. The only reason I want to remove ffice X is to free
up some h/d space.

In Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office,
you'll find an uninstall tool called Remove Office. If you run that
application, you'll be given the choice to remove either Office v.X,
Office 2004 or both; just remove Office v.X, and Office 2004 should be
left untouched. Also, note that removing Office manually does not remove
all the Office system files scattered over the hard disk; to do this job
properly, you will absolutely need to use the removal tool.

Thank you Michael for the info. I took your advice and used the M/S
uninstaller. I think it worked well.

Easy when you know how!

Merry Christmas and all the best for the coming year.
