Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
Right-click the Office entry and choose Change to start up the installer.
On the first page of the installer, leave "Add or remove features" selected
and click Continue.
On the second page, click the icon next to "Microsoft Office Word" and click
"Not Available" in the menu.
Click the Continue button. Usually you won't be prompted to insert the
original CD, but you should have it available just in case.
