uninstall

I received an email with a Word document, and my new iMac came with a
trial version of Office, which I inadvertantly opened.... now I can.t
seem to find an uninstall.
I have had Macs since my apple llc without ever needing an M$ product.
My open source (pretty much free) software has always done a
wonderful jobI, and now I feel violated.
Any suggestions how to get ALL this off my Mac?

If it's Office 2004, there's an uninstaller, located in
Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office/. Don't
remember the exact location of the uninstaller in Office v.X, though, but
there should be one as well.

Be sure to explicitly remove the Test Drive while running the Remove Office
tool. (the office X uninstaller is in the Value Pack on the CD, by the
way).

To prevent it happening again, while you still have the Word doc, select it,
Get Info, go down to Open With, select a different program, and click Change
All.
