I am trying to uninstall Office 2003 from my desktop. It has been working
fine, but when I went into Add-Remove Programs, I got an error message saying
something to the effect that "This patch could not be opened...verify that
this patch package exists..." OK so I looked this up on MS's site
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295823/en-us ) and there it was suggested to
use the MS Installer cleanup, which I did. I always have used it without any
problems.
Now, Office 2003 is no longer listed in the Add-Remove programs menu. When
I click on a shortcut, I get an error message saying "This action is only
valid for products that are currently installed" However, in Programs
Files/Office 11, I can click on the icons for the programs themselves and
open up a new instance--I can also open up a file with each of the programs,
but the shortucts on my Quick Launch bar or the Start>Programs menu won't
work anymore.
OK now what can I do to uninstall?
