Uninstalled Office 2003 Beta, Re-Installed Office XP

I had the Office 2003 Beta. I thought I'd have a real job before the beta period was over and I'd buy the upgrade. But by the time the beta period was over, still no job, so I had to uninstall the beta and re-install my Office XP. I haven't been able to download my e-mail with Outlook since November. I get an 'Operation Failed' error. Am I just screwed?
