Uninstalled Office 2003 SBE / Installed Office 2003 Standard / Now getting CD Prompting

R

Richard Morey

Hi,

I installed Office 2003 SBE on a users computer and then uninstalled it and
installed Office 2003 Standard on that users computer. Whenever he runs an
office application the "Office 2003" setup starts and he is prompted to
insert the SBE CD.. Why? What did I not uninstall correctly?

The reason I uninstalled SBE and then installed Standard is because we only
bought 2 liceneses for SBE and I needed Access on another machine.

Thanks

Rich

Hi Rich,

Did you restart the PC after the uninstall?

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control
Panel to see if SBE is still listed. As Office 2003
SBE has apps not found in the Standard Edition
what stayed may depend on how you did the uninstall
then install. If its not listed you
may want to use the cleanup utility then reinstall
the Office 2003 edition you want.

FWIW, neither MS Office 2003 Small Business Editon
or MS Office 2003 Standard edition include MS Office Access.
