uninstalled Office 2007 Trial, Office 2003 is gone, too!

My new laptop came with a trial version of Office 2007. I had been happily
using Office 2003. I uninstalled 2007 as instructed when the trial time was
over. The uninstall operation removed 2003 as well. All of my files based
on 2003 are inoperable. I tried back tracking to an earlier date, but I am
unable to make any progress. I did find the activation assistant for Office
2007 in the control panel, all 14MB of it, but all I can do with it is
uninstall it again, which I am reluctant to try.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you considering uninstalling everything and the reinstalling Office

I did a reinstall and repair of Office 2003 and all is well again. Thank
you for the simple fix.
