Uninstalling 2007 Office Trial

Debbie

How do I unistall this program? I went to the add and remove programs to
uninstall it but when I click on one of the components, there's not an option
to remove it. I have the Windows XP Pro. The trial isn't up till August. I
didn't know where else to post this issue. thank you

What do you mean by "click on one of the components"? In Start |
Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs, is there more than one entry for
Microsoft Office 2007? If there is only one entry, and if you click
once on that, do you get buttons that say Change and Remove?

In the "Add and Remove programs, it has listed Office 2007 Exel, Office 2007
Word and there's a few more like that. I tried to click on the remove button
but it isn't there. Beside each Office 2007 Trial, there isn't any file size.
Hmm.

That's weird, I haven't seen that before, I've only seen Office 2007
listed as a single item. Sorry, I can't tell you how to fix it, but
hopefully someone else here will recognize the problem and can offer a
suggestion.

Hi Debbie, maybe you can help me. My office trial expired and i tried to
uninstall it. halfway through the uninstall it came up with an error message
and started undoing everything it had uninstalled. i tried to 'repair'
office and when i clicked 'change' it said "the language of this installation
package is not supported by your system. when i try to 'delete' the file, it
says 'cannot delete msohevi.dll' access is denied. the version is
12.0.4518.1014 and the product id is 81605-305-0724125-65171. when i run
systemworks it comes up with the file msvcr80.dll associated with office in
the problem file. microsoft says systemworks is incorrect when it says this
file is not accessible. i just want office off of my computer and i can't
seem to get it off. can you help? thanks, Lydia

hi lydia, maybe this will help you.I contacted Microsoft by phone and they
really helped me. I install a clean up ulitity from Microsoft and it removed
the Office 2007 Trial for me.Once you have installed it, go to start>all
programs>Windows Installs Clean Up. Click on that, a window will come up,
then stroll down, click the Office 2007 programs, then remove. But before you
do this, you may want to call Microsoft first. But that's how I got rid of
them. Let me know how it goes.

followed your instructions and it worked! now my computer is running so much
faster. thanks a million! lydia

I to had success with the cleaning utility with one exception. I need to
remove a really old version of Office 97 and my computer keeps prompting me
for the CD. I have he CD but I don't have the product key so I can't use it
to uninstall. The cleaning utilty doesn't seem to recognize microsoft office
97. Any other suggestions?

Hello my name is Gustavo and I have a similar problem.

I, like all most of you, installed many 2007 Office trials and can'
seem to uninstall them. The thing is, I get a different message whe
trying to uninstall. "Setup cannot continue because a required file i
either corrupted or not available. Run Setup again from the origina
source disc or download location."

I've tried many things, but they haven't seem to be working. Having t
clear these trials will clear a HUGE amount of space on my computer.
guess the topic is getting old and stuff, but like millions, this ha
been a big issue for my computer.

Thank you in advance for helping me out, and I will be waiting for
response. Thank you

Is there a trick or clean up utility to uninstalling the 07 Trial? When I hit
the remove button in Add/Remove Programs, it works for a little while then I
get an error message "The [program] did not uninstall successfully." Then
nothing to do but hit "Finish." Apparently I'm not the only one with this
problem. Any advice?
