Uninstalling Office 2000 without the CD

M

Mike

I'm trying to remove Office 2000 from a PC but when I do
that it says I have to put the CD in. Well, I don't have
the CD which is why I want to uninstall Office 2000. I
have office 2002 which I want to put on instead.

How the heck can I get rid of the old office when it keeps
asking me for the CD?

Please help!

Thanks.

What are you thinking? that will break the office XP installation. I'm
guessing in your time zone it's coffee time.

To remove the registry entries you would have to do a search for Office 9.

But, if you want to install Office XP, or 2002, just install it over the
existing version. You don't need the 2000 CD to do that.

As for your other problems with Outlook - I haven't a clue.

Is there a surefire way to remove all the registry entries? Can I delete the folder and then just
run a regclean type thing or a Symantec CHeck thing?

The reason it's a problem is I'm trying to use the 4Team for Outlook thing and when it installs, it
says it needs to install an additional component of Outlook 2002, but then after I click OK the
prompt comes up for the 2000 Premium SP-1 CD. It's really annoying.
