uninstalling office 97 on Vista

I am trying to uninstall office 97 on a vista machine so I can install office
2003. When I insert the CD and "remove all" nothing happens. I only get the
blue setup screen and the program is unresponsive.

I've looked at the OFF97: How to Completely Remove Microsoft Office 97
article but it seems like I need to get the uninstall with disc to work
before I can use the Office Removal Wizard.

Would appreciate any help. This is so frustrating!

Instead of using the "remove all" button, I used the UI that has you
select/deselect components to add/remove. This worked. Thanks.

you can simply
delete the folder
for it and run a
registry cleaner
to remove orphaned
keys left behind.
