I think I've done something daft. My compouter running
windows xp came with Word 2000 already installed and to
get it up and running I had to put in a long reg. no.
whihc I did and it works fine. I then installed a copy
of office 97 (just so I could practice the applications
for the ECDL exam) Now office 97 is no longer needed I
uninstalled it but then could no longer use my Word 2000
programme - I got a message saying files were corrupted,
etc. I then ran my computer back to a restore point of a
couple of days ago so now office 97 is back on and the
word programme is working. How can I get rid of office
97 and still have my Word 2000 working like it used to?
I know this is probably my punishment for borrowing
someone else's copy of office 97 but there must be a way
isn't there? Any advice will be gratefully received.
