Uninstalling Office/Pro XP

R

Richard

I am receiving a message when I go through the Add Remove
Programs to remove Office Pro, the message says the
installer package could not be found. I want/need to
remove all of Office XP Pro. Is there a manual process
to do this.?

Hi Richard,

This can be caused by several things, but to correct it you will need
to zap the Windows Installer entry in the Registry and reinstall
Office.

Obtain the following utility and use it to remove only the reference
to Office. Note this only removes the Registry entries and such for
the Windows Installer entries for Office. It does not uninstall
Office. Once that is complete then you'll need to reinstall Office to
point the Windows Installer to your installation CD. Then you should
be able to uninstall Office.
