Uninstalling

I bought a new HP laptop equipped with VISTA Home Edition and. among other
programs, a trial version of Office 2007 Student & Teacher Ed.

Having acquired Office 2007 Professionnal, I tried to uninstall Office S&T
trial first. I could uninstall Office itself without problem but got stuck
not being able to uninstall "Assistant Activation for the 2007 Microsoft
Office suites" giving me the following error message: "Microsoft Ofiice 2007
must be installed before Microsoft Office Assistant can be installed.".

I then installed my Office 2007 Professional without problem and then
tried again to uninstall "Assistant" but got same error message.

Q: Any way I can manage with that problem?

I did a little research on the net and could see that some people could
complete "Assistant" uninstall successfully by previously installing again
trial version of Office 2007.

Q: Is there a easier way to get rid of "Assistant" without having to
uninstall my current version of Office Professionnal considering the fact
that I already activated the key over the Internet?
